Asked the questions once too often.  "What is reality?"  Didn't seem to be a clear answer.  Well, they named the softball team "Reality."  Then, when I asked the question, there was an answer.  Reality is a softball team...

School, work, home.  Consumed with preparing, performing, partaking.  To satisfy needs.  Place to live.  Food to eat.  Clothes to keep us warm…and then the other needs.  Reality?

Get home, dark, tired.  Turn it on.  Reality becomes TV.  

But step back and take a look at it all.  

Born.  Live.  Die.  Why?

To live our lives like machines - performing - a break now and then - until replaced by another?  Or to live in meaningless self indulgence?

Has to be more of a purpose. Or it just doesn't make sense.

The purpose maker didn’t just remain an abstraction.  He too – born, lived, died.

Exception.  He rose. 

It’s so easy to get distracted by the day to day.  To focus on the physical or get caught up in the electronic. To lose sight of the invisible.  

On that silent, starry night in Bethlehem, there was a unification of the invisible with the visible.  Then on that morn of Easter, our terminal became His eternal.  Reality.

The purpose of life?  To believe in the invisible.  To be part of His eternal.

Just think what life would be like if, moment by moment, day by day, we were mentally connected to that reality.  

We would see all this stuff matters little, except for one thing.  Eyes and hearts focused on the blessed gift of love, Christ.  

Christmas begins with Christ.
